Sherry Hsi
Dr. Sherry Hsi is the Director of Research and Evaluation for the Center for Learning and Teaching at the Exploratorium. Her interests lie at the intersection of learning, design, and technology. Dr. Hsi’s research focuses on understanding how to design social contexts for science learning, facilitation, and deeper reflection mediated by new media, online environments, and network technologies. At the Exploratorium, she is building a digital library to make inquiry-rich, exhibit-based learning and teaching resources available to educators.
In 2004, she won a MacArthur Foundation grant to explore digital-mediated learning among next generation youth. She is the co-author of the book, video, and CD-ROM Computers, Teachers, Peers: Science Learning Partners. Dr. Hsi is also on the editorial board of the International Journal of Science Education and regularly reviews for the Journal of Women and Minorities in Science and Engineering.
